Blessing of the Rings
This is a beautiful way to involve your wider circle of family and friends and there are a couple of different ways to achieve this.
One is, as your guests arrive at the wedding venue, they are encouraged to take your wedding rings in their hands, hold them and give a blessing, or think a good thought over them.
It’s wise to appoint an usher to stand by the rings to give instructions to the guests before they take their seats.
The other way is for the rings to be passed around (in an organza or muslin type bag), from person to person, while the ceremony is taking place. If there are a large number of guests it can sometimes be tricky to make sure that the rings make it back to the couple in time for the exchange. But an experienced celebrant will be right on top of this and ensure that it all goes to plan.
